One of the most important aspects of using PEDs such as Clenbuterol is knowing how to dose them correctly. By ‘correctly’, we mean finding the balance between risk and reward, i.e., toeing the fine line between tangible, worthwhile results and the common side effects of this compound. Although dosing isn’t an exact science, and it’s easy to ascertain how much is too much and what is too little, it does take a little time and research to understand how much you’ll (probably) need to take in order to maintain an equilibrium between positive and negative effects.
In today’s piece, we’re going to discuss everything you need to know about how to dose Clen. By the time you’ve finished reading this article, you’ll know what to and what not to do when it comes to taking this potent thermogenic fat-loss compound.
Dosing Clenbuterol: An Introduction
When it comes to dosing, there are two primary factors that must be taken into consideration: your cycle goals and whether you’re taking Clenbuterol as a standalone drug or as part of a stack with other PEDs. Here are the three most common ways Clenbuterol is used:
-
1) Alone with no other PEDs.
-
2) Alongside other fat burners/thermogenic agents.
-
3) Alongside other PEDs such as anabolic steroids, HGH, etc.
If opting for number two, it is critical that you reduce the dose of each compound. Consuming Clenbuterol with similar thermogenic compounds has the potential to be very dangerous; therefore, it’s really advisable. When I say other thermogenic agents, I mean things such as T3, T4, DNP, and even caffeine.
If your goal is to reduce your body fat levels and build lean muscle tissue (or, at the very least, maintain your current level of musculature), stacking Clen with anabolic steroids that are typically used for ‘cutting’ and ‘recomping’, i.e., Winstrol (Stanozolol) and/or Anavar (Oxandrolone) is a good choice. If your sole purpose it to lose weight, you can also take clen in moderate doses.
Regardless of how you decide to use Clen, it’s imperative that you start off with a low dose to assess your tolerance to it. Clenbuterol is an extremely powerful drug, and the mantra ‘less is more’ is one that should be followed here. I know in today’s world, everything is done in excess, and people are using far too high doses of PEDs when first dipping their respective toes in the water, but where thermogenic drugs are concerned, this attitude is folly and can have serious consequences. After all, Clenbuterol has the potential to affect your heart, so being sensible with dosing and how your approach stacking is vital.
What is the best dose of Clenbuterol to take?
As you’ll no doubt be aware from what I’ve written above, there are numerous factors that need to be taken into consideration when deciding upon your clan dose. And, as you already know, we advocate starting off with very low doses when starting out. Dosing too low is better than dosing too high. Clenbuterol does come with some fairly serious (potential) side effects, so put your health first rather than your ego and want for instant results (if you’re one of those people!).
Clenbuterol, whether it’s pharmaceutical grade or made by an underground lab (‘UGL’), typically comes in 20mcg tablets. Clenbuterol is dosed in micrograms, not milligrams, so be sure to remember that if you’re buying raw powder, as if you get it wrong, it could have significant and potentially deadly side effects. Just because one tablet contains 20mcg of Clen, that doesn’t mean you have to take it all. Start with a quarter or half of a tablet to see how you fare - ideally the former. It’s highly likely that you’ll not need any more than 20mcg per day - and certainly never exceed 40mcg per day. Yes, if you browse bodybuilding forums, message boards, and Reddit, you’ll no doubt see people who have used over 40mcg without any side effects, but this is very rare and simply not advisable. As soon as you start upping the dose, you vastly increase the chances of more serious side effects. Is that really worth it for dropping an extra pound or two or body fat? In my opinion, it isn’t.
In terms of cycle length, no more than six weeks is advisable. In fact, most people can only tolerate around four weeks before they either can’t hack the side effects or have achieved their cycle goals. If you’re one of the lucky ones who doesn’t experience any negative side effects, that doesn’t mean you should instantly up the dose until you do! Be grateful that you’re one of the few who doesn’t get Clen sides.
Does Increasing Clen Dose Increase The Risk of Side Effects?
The answer to the above questions is easy: yes. It’s the same with every single drug in the world, whether it’s a PED or a basic painkiller like Paracetamol. The more you take, the greater the chances of side effects. Given that even at low doses, Clenbuterol has the potential to induce serious side effects, it’s really not a good idea to start upping the dose each week just because you want faster results. From experience, dosing Clen at 60mcg has no better effects on fat loss than 40mcg, and 20mcg isn’t that far behind either. Plus, at 20mcg, the side effects are far more manageable.
If you’re wondering what the common side effects of Clen are, here’s a list:
As you can see, the above side effects aren’t exactly going to make you feel good, and the chances of them occurring (and their severity) will increase as you up the dose; therefore, starting low and staying low, i.e., 10mcg to 20mcg is the best option.
If you have a heart condition, it’s wise to steer clear of Clenbuterol and similar drugs. The combination of high blood pressure and increased heart rate is a recipe for disaster.
